Every year, there are over 3.5 million people from around the world
who visit Yosemite National Park (Yosemite National Park is located
about 320 kilometers east from San Francisco , California). The beauty of Yosemite National Park is unparalleled,
some say it is the most beautiful National Park in the USA. With towering sequoia trees, impressive mountain peaks, waterfalls and Dramatic Canyons Yosemite is the place to go to commune with Mother Nature.
The western edge of the Sierra Nevada Mountains is home to one of the
treasured national parks in the United States. The park itself covers a
land area of 747, 956 acres of land and has around 800 miles of
well-maintained trails. With its numerous waterfalls and primary
attractions, Yosemite National Park is a tourist destination to reckon.
The Valley which is the lowest point in the park serves as the base for
seven significant waterfalls which include the Ribbon Falls, Vernal Falls and the Bridalveil Falls.
It is home to North America’s longest waterfall – the Yosemite Falls
which drops at 2,425 feet right into the Valley. Visitors of this
gorgeous place can enjoy the view of the famous rock formations like
Cathedral Rocks, El Capitan, Half Dome and the Three Brothers. Four
large meadow areas and giant sequoia trees, Yosemite National Park is
simply breathtaking.
Yosemite Valley was reported as a home to 400 species of vertebrates.
Guests will often see coyotes, deer and wild bears during a visit to
this place.
Hiking in Yosemite National Park can be an enjoyable outdoor
activity. A hike will allow the visitors to see Mirror Lake, Bridalveil
Falls and Inspiration Point. The hike to Half Dome is around 14 miles
long and an elevation of 4,800 feet.
There are plenty of accommodatios for tourists to enjoy. Lodging is
possible as there are four options to consider namely The Ahwahnee Hotel
, the Ahwahnee Hotel and Yosemite Lodge which can be found just across
the sits across the Lower Yosemite Falls trailhead, offering the guests
in its 249 rooms excellent views. The Curry Village offers guests with
cabins and tent cabins. Lastly, the Housekeeping Camp has tent-like
cabins that accommodate up to six guests.
